My name is Crystal Pendleton, and I’m the founder of Pure Hearted, an urban clothing brand established in February 2024. I was raised in Louisville, Kentucky—the youngest of three and the only girl—by a strong single mother in the projects. Growing up, life wasn’t easy, but I learned early how to face adversity head-on and beat the odds. Basketball gave me an outlet and opened the door to a full college scholarship. I went on to earn both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, proving to myself that determination can take you anywhere.

In 2023, my world shifted when my grandmother passed away from cancer. She always reminded me that I had “the purest heart,” and that affirmation became the heartbeat of my brand. Pure Hearted is more than clothing—it’s a reflection of resilience, authenticity, and love.

The signature colors, black and red, pay tribute to my grandmother’s favorite shades and her unwavering pride as a University of Louisville fan. Every design carries a piece of my story and a reminder that no matter where you start, your heart and hustle can create something powerful.
